11 months post FUE, hair is frizzy and hard to manage. Why?

I'm 11 months post FUE trasnplant and the quality of hair is just dry and curly its not soft as it was before. I notice when its blow dried it becomes soft and easy to manage. What can I put on my hair to have it become soft and easy to manage without damaging it. I'm seeing some results from other people and the hair looks normal how come. I wanted to explore Keratin, or hair rebonding, but am hearing from people saying its bad for the health in the long term.

It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.In rare cases transplanted hairs may grow out very kinky and frizzy.  This may (or may not) be a technical problem during surgery.

Usually, it takes 12-18 months for the hair to regain its full previous luster/appearance following a hair transplant. If the follicles were damaged or the sebaceous glands removed in the harvesting/dissection, some of the characteristics of the hair may not completely return, but this is uncommon.

It is very rare to see someone having frizzy hair post hair transplant. Now, once they have come out like this, it is difficult to change their character. You can try some hair serum to make them soft and more manageable.

I have seen this happen but it is rare. The change usually goes from straight hair to wavy hair but on very rare occasion, I have seen it become kinky. Considering that we have performe over 16,000 hair transplant, the freuency has been that this has been seen in less than 4 patient over the past 26 years.
