Can I wear a corset in addition to a compression garment after liposuction of the flanks and lower back?

Dear niyah85, I would recommend the same things as the other doctor's who responded, which is to check with your surgeon before you add any additional compression during your post op recovery. You don't want to overdo it with the garments and cause harm to the tissue. Good luck!

I think that it is best to ask your surgeon.  Usually just a compression garment is good.  I have never used a corset.

Have you discussed this with your surgeon? I would advise my patient not to use an additional garment on top of the compression garment. If there is a lot of groovine and seams, it can scar the tissue in swollen areas. It is difficult to imagine what your corset looks like. Bring it to your surgeon for approval first.
