How much time do I need to be on bed rest before returning to work and not sitting on my butt?

I'm interested in the BBL. I do not have a lot of vacation time to take off work. I have a office job (I sit down all day). Is there anything I can sit on at work after the procedure? How much time is needed to be on bed rest for just a normal BBL procedure from the back and front stomach area to the buttocks with no medical issues and no complications? I need to know how much time to actually need off so I can get prepared (I will be coming to see you of course- I already had the consultation

Thank you for your question. Recovery from liposuction and the Brazilian butt lift is usually one to two weeks. During this period, patients may notice 
bruising and tenderness in the areas where liposuction was performed. 
Most patients are able to return to work one week after the procedure. It is best to follow your surgeon's instructions.

Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
I recommend my patients to wait at least 7-10 days before going back to work, and you should not sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. If you have any concerns, I suggest you follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

I advise patients to ambulate immediately after surgery. Bedrest can increase chance for pneumonia, blood clots, and bed ulsers. Plan to lay on your stomach for 2-3 weeks and ambulate frequently to avoid complications. Seek a plastic surgeon who
performs hundreds of these procedures, has great reviews and photos, and is an
expert in this field.
