This is the 5th time I've had injections, with no problems in the past. This time everything just looks different. I can't tell if my upper lip is swollen or is that where the filler is? My lips look like the letter M (Cupid's bow far apart) Any advice. This is day 6. I have iced once daily.

Answer: Swelling... This looks like swelling and will get better. At two weeks, see your injector and be examined in the area to see if the swelling has resolved. An experienced injector should be able to tell you where the filler is in your lips. Good luck, Dr. ALDO

Answer: Swelling after lip augmentation (volbella, juvederm, restylane)--reverse with hyaluronidase if unhappy This could be due to swelling, which will resolve in 1-2 weeks. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time or a different filler. Best, Dr. Emer
