Can I abruptly stop using Minoxidil 2% after 2 weeks? It caused massive shedding and headache. Will the shedded hair grow back?

I have stress related hair loss and i started minoxidil 2% since 2 weeks and i developed massive shedding now my scalp is showing from the front and crown. Can i abruptly stop the minoxidil? How long will this exessive shedding last? Will the shedded hair grow back if i stop the minoxidil or will it be permanantly lost?

You need to have a diagnosis of why you are losing hair before considering treatment.  Depakote "may" be a cause for hair loss but you may have a completely different cause.  You need to explore this with your doctor before proceeding.  If depakote was purely the cause it may take...

If you have genetic balding, there is no cure to "stop" it.  If you want to explore other treatment options such as Propecia you need to see a doctor.

You need to follow up with your doctor if you believe you are having a side effect.  It seems you have multiple issues such as scalp psoriasis.

If you had a bald spot for over 6 years, it probably will remain bald for life.  You can try Rogaine as you don't need a doctor's prescription to try it.  However it is unlikely it will give you a significant change.

You cannot diagnosis why you have thin eyebrows with a photo. The old fashion way of seeing a doctor for an exam is still the best option.

Hair loss for men is usually genetic. Hair loss occurs in a "pattern", so we call it Male Pattern Balding (MPB). You need an examination by a doctor for a diagnosis and to understand how much hair you may lose. There are medical treatments such as Propecia or Rogaine but it is not a complete...
