Hi I am 45 and want to reduce my hooded eyelids. I am booked to have Plexr Plus. I am wondering if this is actually worth it or should I consider a different procedure? I also have hollow skin under eyes and blue veins that show. I have done filler and Botox but nothing works, PRP and nothing opens my eyes. Regular eyebrow. Surgery is expensive and I was hoping I wouldn’t have to do actual surgery until I am a little older. Should I cancel and what would work best?

For significant improvement, hooded eyelids require surgery if there is enough skin. For nonsurgical treatments: Radiofrequency (Thermage or Venus Legacy/Viva), injectable fillers, and a Botox brow lift can help contour the eyebrows and lift the eyelid skin. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer.

From the photos, the most significant features are that the outer third of the eyebrows are depressed compared to the medial (the side closer to the nasal bridge) likely related to the apparent significant volume deficit in the temple regions. Accordingly the use of an appropriate HA filler to reflate the temples, along with an HA filler directly under the outer third of the eyebrows would very likely reestablish the very desirable feminine upward and outward flare of the eyebrows. In the hands of an experienced injector, both filler treatments can be performed in about twenty minutes and engender little to no significant downtime You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist filler expert. Looking at your brows it appears that they have negative vector; lateral one third of both brows is lower than medial. Having a brow lift, hairline incision or, possibly, endoscopic, would correct position of your brows and upper eyelid fulness. Small amount of fat grafts in periorbital area would help. In person consultation or telemedicine consult with a board certified plastic surgeon with experise in facial/periorbital rejuvenation, is recommended. Good luck.

Thank you for your question and photographs.

I do not see any loose skin that would require an upper blepharoplasty.  In addition your lower lid is flat I do not see any herniated fat or bags.

Essentially your eyelids look good and you do not need surgery in my opinion.

The only procedure that I know that can reduce blue coloring on the lower eyelids is IPL or Intenced pulsed light.  To have this procedure you would require 8 covering for the eyeball called a corneal shield and you would need an expert and laser therapy to provide this treatment.
