I have recently lost 40lbs I am currently 220lbs and I have a significant amount of lumbar sacral fat padding. Is there anyway for me to liposuction this? I thought it would go away with weight loss but it's becoming more prominent as my weight reduce s and I me becoming very self conscious about it and when I lie on my back it's very uncomfortable.

Yes, this area can be shaped and contoured with liposuction. It is recommended to be at or near your ideal/stable weight before undergoing a liposuction procedure. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction, which can be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck and body lifting procedure, if you're a candidate. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. In my practice, treatment of the sacral fat is an important step to sculpting the gluteal area and creating an attractive transition from the lower back to the gluteal area.  This area is easy to treat with liposuction and improves the results of any liposuction treatment to the back.  I would consider liposuction of the hips and flanks at the same time.  It is an extremely safe procedure and not associated with lengthy downtimes.

The location of fat depositions is genetically determined. When weight loss occurs, it's not uncommon for there to be very stubborn areas that do not go away. Liposuction is ideal for this type of fat reduction. It's a very rewarding procedure and is done with only local tumescent anesthesia.
