2 weeks post op Liposuction, what is the hardness in inner thighs and knees? Is this normal?

I am 2 weeks post liposuction and notice that it feels hard under the skin spanning the entire area that was liposuctioned. Is this normal? What causes this? I feel that my legs are the same size as they were before with very little change in contour. I am only 2 weeks out, should I be worried?

The fat removed by liposuction is replaced at least in part by fluid after the procedure. This can increase the caliber of the area and create firmness. It will get better as time passes.

Thanks for the question. All surgical procedures have some degree of discomfort. The post op pain can often be controlled with over the counter pain relievers or a short prescription of narcotic pain pills. I wish you all the best.
