Can ectropion be revised easily after lower blepharoplasty?

I had upper and lower Blepharoplasty done and I have some ectropion which has not resolved at 7 weeks. Will this resolve on its own given time or will a simple revision correct it easily?

It all depends on severity of the ectropion, if it is mild it usually is resolved by massage and time. sever cases will need surgery.

Need to see photo of your eyes to better help you. It depends on severity of the ectropion and healing process. Communicate with your surgeon and see an oculoplastic surgeon. Revision lower eyelid retraction surgery may be an option.

In some cases, yes time can help resolve the ectropion. In other cases complex reconstructive surgery is needed to fix these. At 7 weeks, it is highly likely that you will need reconstructive surgery to address this issue. Study the attached video which describes how these are fixed.

I would recommend upward massage and more time prior to consideration of additional surgery.  Depending upon the degree and type of ectropion it may still resolve.  If not, there are a number of procedures that can tighten the lower lid, elevating it and approximating it to the eyeball.

I recommend waiting at least 3 months while doing the exercises I am sure your surgeon has recommended, before any decisions regarding a surgical treatment. Too many times, early surgical intervention leads to untoward complications. Most often time will improve or resolve this. Best
