I've recently has cool sculpting done. I lift weights regularly and take creatine. Will taking creatine affect my cool sculpting results?
Answer: CoolSculpting and Creatine? Creatine Doesn’t Affect CoolSculpting
Creatine shouldn’t have any effect on your CoolSculpting results. Fat elimination with CoolSculpting takes some time because your body must process and flush away the remains of the dead fat cells that were killed during the cryolipolysis procedure. You may start seeing a change in your measurements after a month, but won’t see your full results for at least three months. Depending on how much fat you have, you may need more than one CoolSculpting treatment. Please find a board-certified dermatologist for any future CoolSculpting treatments and try to find one who offers Zimmer Z-Wave radial pulsed therapy afterward to maximize your results.

Answer: Post Coolsculpting and creative supplements Coolsculpting will help you with subcutaneous fat reduction, and doing exercises, such as weight lifting and aerobics, will enhance your results. In my opinion, it is best to get all the nutrition in your daily food intake by consuming different types of fruits, vegetables, and lean meats and by cutting down the processed sugar and high fat. Taking multivitamins, fish oil, calcium, and/or pre/probiotics hydration can certainly help as well. Alastin skin care has come up with a new body cream which can augment post-coolscuplting fat elimination even more. We offer the Z wave treatment after a hand massage in our practice to enhance the fat reduction. Best wishes, Dr. Shanthala

Answer: CoolSculpting and creatine supplements I am not aware of any medical studies which have shown any interaction between CoolSculpting and taking creatine supplements. I do not believe the creatine should affect your CoolSculpting results.

Answer: CoolSculpting targets superficial fat, not deeper tissue such as muscle. Thank you for your question. CoolSculpting targets superficial fat, not deeper tissue such as muscle. CS forces the fat cells to go through a process called cryoliposis which basically means fat cell destruction. Over a period of 3 months your body works to detoxify and eliminate the destroyed fat cells. Muscle will not be effected, however if your back muscles have not been used for body building in a very long time, there may be more adipose tissue than muscle. Therefore taking creatine will have no effect on your CoolSculpting results. It would be best to schedule a consult at a certified CoolSculpting facility in a board certified physician's office near you. Your provider will be better able to assess you and recommend the most appropriate treatment to help you to achieve your goals. Good luck!
