A standard vertical breast lift can be enhanced with the addition of fat grafting to the breast. There is a limited amount of fat that can be grafted into each breast - this is determined in part by how much surface area each breast has available to graft within. I think a more reliable long term result can be achieved with a smooth round silicone implant coupled with a vertical breast lift.

Thank you for your question. Fat transfer to the breasts feels like your natural breasts. Fat is transferred to the pectoralis major muscle and superior breast deep fat layer mainly. It will enlarge your breast size, but will not lift them. Without photos it is difficult to comment specifically, but in general, a short scar breast lift can be combined with fat grafting in the superior breasts. You cannot transfer fat in the areas where incisions and dissection was done, since the fat will not survive in these "open" tissue planes. See a board certified plastic surgeon with experience in breast augmentation with fat. Good luck.

Fat grafting alone will not give the desired lift.  REFINE sutures coupled with fat grafting can provide the change you are trying to achieve.

I think in general, fat grafting to the upper part of the breast adds volume and upper pole fullness.  Not having seen any pictures its hard to comment on how much that will help for you.  It sounds like that you would most benefit from getting a breast lift along with fat grafting to the upper part of your breasts. This combination is rather common surgery in my practice. It combines the benefits of a breast lift, along with fullness of the upper breast which can be less than ideal with lift alone.

In my practice, I perform a lot of fat transfer to the breasts.  For patients that want perkier breasts, I usually combine a breast lift with fat transfer to give a perkier yet natural look and feel to the breasts.  The breasts do not feel necessarily firm with fat transfer.  They will not feel or look like a breast implant.  Hope this helps.
