Would my meds or scopolamine patch cause my eye to dilate ? Surgery was on Friday , dilation today

Thank you for your question. It sounds like that you otherwise are recovering well from surgery, and have no other abnormal symptoms. With that said, what you are describing is common when folks remove their scopolamine patch and touch their eye. This should resolve without major issues. Scopolamine patches worn behind the ear are common to help manage nausea after surgery. It is important that you wash your hands after touching the patch. Touching your eye after touching the patch can result in temporary dilation of the eye.
