Will your health suffer if you never take drained saline implants out? Do not care about the look.

Thank you for your question.  There is little risk to leaving ruptured saline implants in place but if you demonstrate signs of an infection you would need to have them removed.  In most cases saline implant removal will not require general anesthesia and can be performed quickly and safely.  Best wishes!

My personal opinion is to have them revamped if they are ruptured. I would not leave them in the body deflated.

Thank you very much for your question.The implants can stay in your body indefinitely.  It shouldn't be dangerous.  However, you are correct that at some point in the future they may get infected (as with any foreign body, an infection in one part of your body can spread via the bloodstream and "seed" the implant).  If that happens, you can just get the implants taken out at that time.The procedure is usually very straightforward, and can be done under general anesthesia or sedation.  If you are young and healthy, the risks of anesthesia are minimal.  Best of luck!

The implants can remain as long as there are no signs of infection, or other changes. But you do not need general anesthesia to remove the implants. Sedation anesthesia is fine as it is not a painful procedure to remove the implants. Then you do not need to even worry about them.
