Due to waxing my underarms are discolored. Will chemical peel get rid of this?

but it wasn't my first time to do this...the lady applied wax repeatedly in my underarms and because of that my skin got inflamed and i'd developed dark underarms...i used hydroquinone 4 cream around 4 months, but it didn't work well....so my question is can i use chemical peel to get rid of this discoloration?

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

After inflammation, the skin can become darkened ("post inflammatory hyperpigmentation"), particularly in those that have darker skin types. There are various ways to fade the extra colour, but they all take months to improve, there is no quick fix. Chemical peels can be beneficial, as can laser, and so can prescription creams from your dermatologist. Best to have a skin expert review your case.

In your situation, a chemical peel will not help. The darkness from waxing is post traumatic hyperpigmentation, which may get worse with a chemical peel. Hydroquinone and time may help.
