Thanks for the question. After 6 weeks your surgery area is totally healed and yes you can playing rugby and also do other activities. I wish you all the best.
Rugby is a fairly physical game, so risk of injury to your ears following an otoplasty is high. Every patient situation is different, but I typically recommend avoiding contact sports for 6-12 weeks after otoplasty. My timing of recommendation depends on the age of the patient and the type of sport that they want to resume. Make sure to mention this to your surgeon when scheduling your procedure. It's not worth going through this operation and having a suboptimal result because you went back to your sport too soon. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. Rugby is a pretty physical sport, so I would recommend waiting 3-4 months before returning to play. Take care!

It is not clear to me exactly what you would like to change. However, the ear is largely made of springy cartilage which will only reshape with some degree of surgical type procedure. I would advise you to seek the opinion of a suitably qualified and experienced plastic surgeon.
Hi. Thank you for your question. It is actually not necessary to sleep in an evaluated position after an otoplasty. I only recommend my patients to use a head band at night for the first month after the surgery. Best regards Dr Marco Carmona MD
