Far more important than the technique is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Choose your surgeon rather than the technique and let them explain why one technique may be better than another.  See the below link on some suggestions on finding the most qualified Plastic Surgeon for you.  Always insist on a board certified plastic surgeon.

It is important to point out that there are more than 100 methods described in the literature concerning otoplasty. Which method is the best for your ears can't just be decided on a simple question. Every ear has its technique and patients with suitable ears for the Raunig technique will always says good Things about that. 
However, to get a reliable answer, you would need to present yourself for a physical consultation, because the technique to be choosen is also dependable on the strenght of your cartilage, therefore pictures will not give a proper base to rely upon.
You should schedule an appiontment with a facial plastic surgeon in your area and together can be decided what is best for you.

This method is not as minimally invasive as the Dr Merck Stitch Method. Dr Raunig raises the skin over the antihelix fold on the front of the ear by making an incision and inserting an instrument through it to scratch the ear cartilage. Therefore, his method is not as gentle. Dr Raunig does not point out the risks involved with this form of working on the cartilage.
