Could Emsculpt cause a gall bladder attack?

I had a series of Emsculpt in 2021. 1 day after my 4th Emsculpt I had a gall bladder attack and had to go to the hospital. I have never before nor after had a gall bladder episode. A different tech did my Emsculpt on my 4th treatment and I remember that her placement felt different/lower on my abdomen than before. I didn't go back to finish the series because I was scared. I liked the results, though. Could improper Emsculpt placement cause a gall bladder attack? This was regular Emsculpt and not Neo.

Hello Scout,
I have been treating patients with Emsculpt since it came to market, I have never heard of a case like yours.  Anything is possible, but it is more likely that you would have had your gall bladder episode without the Emsculpt and it was coincidental.  Good luck and be well.

I don’t think there’s an association between having symptomatic gallstones and your treatment.I suggest you Follow up with the Prime care Doctor to talk About gallstones and possibly having gallbladder surgery esp if you have more episodes. Best Mats Hagstrom MD
