After many months and the nose is still crooked, this will most likely be permanent. Trauma to the nose and created a fracture of the nose bones and fracture the cartilage off of the nasal bones. A rhinoplasty procedure can address removing the dorsal lump and straightening the nasal bones with osteotomies. It is also important to examine the internal portion of the nose to ensure the septum is not fractured as well. For many examples of crooked noses we have repaired in our practice, please see the link and the video below
You likely suffered a fracture of some sort, and since it has been months now, it is likely going to be permanent. I would suggest seeing a plastic surgeon to decide on the best treatment for you to correct the issue. Best wishes!
It sounds like you probably had your nose broken. Most nasal fractures are easily reduced in the first several days after the injury. If not corrected early, the nose will heal in its broken position. This will require a much more extensive surgery, to re-fracture and set the nasal bones. You will need to be evaluated by a surgeon comfortable with reconstructive rhinoplasty, and you may need X-rays or CT scan to fully evaluate your nose and mid-face prior to surgery.
