I had a FUE procedure with 4,500 to 5,000 grafts transplanted just three days ago. My doctor recommended that I must massage the donor area with a strong massage when washing to improve the circulation and healing process. (The recipitant areas should not be massaged or even touched.) But my donor area is very tender and red, and the massage treatment is very pain full. Is it necessary to massage the donor area after FUE surgery?

Answer: It is best to contact your doctor about post operative care and instructions since each doctor has a different regimen.
These hairs will sooner or later shed. They are never a problem for new hairs that start to grow. Usually, there is a lag time between the time the hairs shed (2-8 weeks) and the time the new hair grows (3-8 months). IF for any reason, there is an overlap between the two, pay no attention to it...
