For the horizontal line across the bridge of the nose, I would recommend a combination of Botox and filler. The Botox can relax the muscles which make the line deeper, and the filler will give support under the line which will smooth it out. Please consult a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon experienced in aesthetic injectable treatments. Best wishes.
I would recommend small amounts of botox in the area as well as in the bunny lines around the nose. If this does not relax the horixontal line across the bridge of the nose, use filler in combination with the botox.
Botox can help but filler works very well too. I suggest seeking a cosmetic consultation with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Best, Dr. Emer.
Bunny lines are horizontal lines that run across the region of the bridge of the nose that are accentuated by scrunching when smiling. One prominent line may be present, as in this case, or several. Regardless, a few microdroplets of Botox (or the other neuromodulators, Dysport and Xeomin) instilled in the region work well for suppressing the dynamic (movement related) component of these aesthetically troubling lines. After years of daily emoting hundreds or even thousands of time, the skin may persist in appearing "etched" by the movement of the underlying muscles. These "etch" marks are static wrinkles (i.e. wrinkles that remain when the muscles are at rest). A small amount of filler, such as Restylane or Belotero can be very helpful in dealing with this. The additional benefit of combining both kinds of treatments is that the overall duration of beneficial effect tends to last considerably longer than the effects of either of the aforementioned treatments alone. For example, Botox may ordinarily last between four and six months when used alone, and filler may last six to eight months. But, when combined, benefits may last about a year.
Yes Botox, xeomin or dysport can be used to treat these lines at the top of your nose. You should start to see improvement within a few days of injection. Your physician should be able to give you an idea of how much will improve with the first treatment. Ongoing benefit will be seen with future treatments.
They results last about 3-4 months and after repeated treatments you may need less frequent injections as you become "trained" not to animate those muscles.
You could benefit from botox or dermal filler or a combination of two. Consult with 3 master physician injectors to understand your options.
Yes, Botox can correct this. The crease is due to an overactive Procerus muscle that sits longitudinal on top of your nose. Botox can be placed here and would help correct this appearance. Your best bet is to be evaluated. You are very close to our office in Grand Rapids and we have two expert injectors, Jacki and Emily who would be happy to evaluate you at no cost. Hope this helps.
DearTitejns:Botox and Dysport are muscle relaxers usedcosmetically to reduce lines caused by muscle action. There are 3 muscles causing their unique linesbetween the brows and top of the nose, called the glabella region, which are easily relaxed by the expert injector. The corrugator muscle creates the classic "11" vertically between the eyebrows. The depressor superciliimuscle creates a tiny line at the foot of each 11 toward the inner corner ofthe eye.The procerus muscle scrunches theupper nose into horizontal lines. The moreexperienced injector will be able to also reduce other nearby lines andcreases such as: 4. The "bunny lines" which formobliquely down the sides of the nose. 5. The "recruitment" lines extendingvertically and radially across each brow into the forehead. These lines developwith greater age and following many prior glabella muscle relaxer injections asthe round muscle around the eye pulls the eye brow inwardly. This is the samemuscle which creates the downward pull of the forehead and the"crow's feet" lines. For an occasional patient filler may be required to smoothen any residual lines causedby permanent creasing of the skin even with motion being stopped. This isparticularly true in a patient with a heavy forehead. I hope I was helpful. Please choose yourinjector carefully. Each has different skills and techniques. All the best!
The horizontal lines in the upper nose are created by the procerus muscle. It is typically injected when treating the glabella, frown line. It will improve but not go away.
Ensure you are accepting treatment by a highly skilled and experienced injector. Botox should only be administered by highly trained personal. Hope this helps.
Typically women wait until in their mid to late 30's to begin Botox Therapy. Age 22 is very young to begin Botox use, but only a face to face visit with a board certified physician injector will help you to make a decision on whether Botox treatment is indicated for you. If you are already b...
Thank you for your question. I would not worry too much if you had Botox and found out you were pregnant. Botox works locally where it was injected and the dosing is very small. The makers of Botox would never consider sponsoring a study to see the safety of Botox during pregnancy or breast...
