Which filler is better for the lips: Juvaderm or Versa?

Each of the many fillers we have on the market each have different “personalities”.  While some may be good in the lips, they may not be the best filler for a different area of the face.  Between the two fillers you are interested in Juvederm is a little softer, which can be important when you are injecting a mobile structure like lips.  Versa has a more affordable price point and also swells a little less, which is also beneficial.  I would have your physician choose the right filler for you, based on the areas to be injected and your needs.  Hope that helps.

Hyaluronic fillers are the best options for your lips for a few reasons. First, hyaluronic acid is found inside of you already, so it’s unlikely that your body will try to reject the filler.Secondly, the cushion-like volume the hyaluronic fillers create inside your lips looks very natural. Finally, hyaluronic attracts water to your lips. This gives them a plump and fresh look that no other filler can provide. 

There are several different fillers on the market that are approved for the lips. Each of these fillers has different characteristics and uses. In my clinic, I prefer to use Restylane Silk or Restylane. It all depends on what you are looking with regards to lip augmentation and what your injector prefers to use. In experienced hands, a good result is achievable with all of the difference lip fillers.
