Will Double Nasal Valve Collapse Surgery Change my Appearance?

July 16, 2010
Asked By:APizzo667 in Philadelphia

In 2000, I had rhinoplasty. In 2008, I was only breathing through one nostril. So I had a septoplasty, turbinite reduction, & scar removal. After several opinions, the cause of my inability to breathe is double collapsed valves (not asthma). The permanent solution is to take cartilage from ear & reinforce nose. I am TERRIFIED my face will be ALTERED. The Dr. said the cartilage added may show & my nostrils will be fuller. I can’t breathe well, will surgery change my appearance? I am 26/male.
