Hi. It has been demonstrated that performing surgery with BMI above 35.0 more than triples the risk of complications, such as wound dehiscence, infection, thromboembolism, and so forth. You have to take into account that plastic surgery procedures are not weight losing procedure, they are to give a better body contour. My recommendation is that you lose enough weight to achieve a BMI of at least 35.0; or if you are unable to do so, consider first weight control solutions (as bariatric surgery) first, and then proceed with plastic surgery. When you do reach that goal, remember to always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. And remember, if you keep looking, you'll eventually find someone who agrees with surgery. Before you proceed, remember that your overall safety is first.
