I'm a trans MTF age 56. Can you advise me on buttocks and hips enhancements? I'm not on HRT. My weight is 210, height 6-0.

Meg, Hi and great question.  Liposuction and Fat Transfer is the Gold Standard for transforming the Torso frame and shape.  Depending on how much of a frame/shape change you are attempting, it may require multiple procedures.  In addition, depending on the shape of the butt, an implant with fat transfer may be required.  I hope that helps.  Best of luck!

If you have enough fat to harvest, buttock and hip augmentation is best done by fat transfer. Fat grafting provides wider surface area enhancement of the buttocks and hips as well as a low complication rate. Breast implants of larger sizes can be placed if you have enough overlying skin that can adequately stretch to accommodate them.

The only real option for most male to female transgendered people in regards to breast announcement is the use of implants with the exception of long-term use of hormonal therapy.Even with hormonal therapy someone at your age may not develop enough breast volume to be considered passable.hip and buttock augmentation options very significantly based on the baseline body figure.Fat transfer is an option but can be limited depending on what the baseline is.Weight or BMI by itself is not sufficient to determine if someone is a good candidate for either liposuction or fat transfer.An in person consultation is required for something as complex as what you're referring to.One of our current patients with similar height and weight proportionate to you is pursuing a staged liposuction fat transfer procedure.We recently did the first round of fat transfer to the hips and butt ox with good early results.To get the best contour she will undergo the second session of liposuction with fat transfer.avoid any temptation to have free silicone injections.I suggest an in person consultation with several board-certified plastic surgeon's who have expertise in both body contouring and trans gender surgery.Best,Mats Hagstrom, MD
