My eyes are incredibly close together, and the overly pronounced sides of my nose create an unflattering expression. Is it possible to make them a little smaller?

In both photos, the upper nasal sidewalls look relatively defined, while active frowning between the brows creates strong shadows that make this area appear more pronounced. The lower alar base does not look markedly wide from these frontal images. If the concern is the bony upper sidewalls, rhinoplasty can narrow them with carefully planned osteotomies. If it is the lower nostril base, conservative alar-base reduction is a different operation. These procedures are not interchangeable, and over-narrowing can impair breathing or create an operated look. Importantly, narrowing the bridge can sometimes make close-set eyes appear even closer, so facial proportions and the desired expression should be assessed together. If the frown lines and muscle activity are the main issue, treatment of the corrugator/procerus muscles may soften the expression but will not make the nose smaller. An in-person examination with relaxed, standardized frontal and basal photographs is needed before recommending surgery. Computer morphing can help compare a subtle change with no change and avoid reducing a structurally normal nose for an expression-related concern.
