Discharge After Breast Augmentation Stitches Removed

Occasionally a transected breat duct will leak milk or drainage for 2-3 weeks after a procedure. When this happens, I advise my patients in wound care and frequent cleansings and may prescribe an antibiiotic. In any case you should speak with surgeon about your concerns.

Discharge from incisions 12 days after surgery is not normal. The "hole" that you mention has nothing to due with a stitch that came out. You're having some wound breakdown. The white discharge could very well be an infection. Other possibilities include a seroma or fluid collection or hematoma or blood clot. Either way your surgeon needs to be on top of this. An infection can usually be dealt with easily with high dose antibiotics.
Don't be afraid to see your surgeon every few days until you are out of the woods.

You should speak to your surgeon about the discharge. This does sound like a benign leak from a transected duct, but an infection should certainly be ruled out. I would advise seeing your surgeon as soon as you can. Good luck.

Whatever it is, it sounds serious, and you shoud see your doctor right away. You could have an infection or a liquid collection (seroma).
