Swelling, bruising and small dimpling are not abnormal after the Silhouette Instalift, especially two days after the procedure. This normally resolves within a week to ten days. It is still early in the post-procedure time frame, and should resolve in the next several days.

Congratulations on getting your Silhouette threads placed. My patients love this treatment since they see the instant suspension and then the rejuvenation of the skin over the next 6 months. However the side effects that you discuss, such as dimpling and swelling are not unusual and do resolve over time. I like to see my patients back 1 week later and the swelling is usually gone by then. Dimpling may look temporarily worse if there is swelling  present and also looks better once swelling is gone. The dimples also look better once the skin is producing collagen. Be patient and you will likely have a result that you love, but don't hesitate to contact your physician to be seen for your concerns.  Best wishes, Mary Beth Mudd
