How long does Silhouette thread lift last? I am 49 and have noticeable sagging to my jowls and nasolabial folds.

InstaLift™ works by not only physically lifting your skin in trouble spots like your jowls, but it also helps to stimulate collagen production so your skin can hold this position for longer on its own. Thus, many people see results that last up to around two years. That said, InstaLift, injectables and other similar solutions won’t be able to give you the same dramatic results as a surgical facelift could. Silhouette Instalift lasts up to 2 years; however, this will depend upon the quality of the skin, age of the patient and amount of underlying fat.  The Silhouette Instalift is ideal for moderate laxity of the lower face coupled with a moderate of underlying fat.  The cones lift the overlying  tissues which along with the threads stimulate your own collagen over 6 months.. For individuals who are properly chosen the Silhouette Instalift is a wonderful procedure that is performed with local anesthesia on an outpatient basis.  There are minimal side effects and the patient can see a difference in days.   

Silhouette Soft thread lift results last for around 18 months. Very rarely you would see that the lift results would last for up to 2 years. I think silhouette soft is totally worth it considering the results, but it depends on which country and which city you are getting the procedure done, as costs vary. But a procedure that gives you an instant lift without downtime and without any scars on your face is absolutely worth it.

Thread lift is a safe alternative to facelift candidates who are not ready for surgery with less risks and much less downtime. On the other hand, the results from a thread lift are not as significant and as lasting compared to facelift surgery. The effects of Silhouette Instalift, which include collagen-promoting effects, can last up to 2 years.

The Silhouette Instalift is a great product on the market compared to prior versions.  Recent data states that the results last for minimum of 6mos to 2 years.  However, the lift is not the only change that is seen, the PLLA that is a component of the threads results in collagen  turnover. Recent data has shown that patients are satisfied with the results 2 years out despite the loss of the lifting from the threads due to this collagen turnover. It led to a more plump and full cheeks.  I recommend that you see a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who has extensive training in this technique. All the best.

SI is a great way to not only lift the mid-face but to fill out the area under your eye and make the jaw line more defined.  The whole procedure takes us about an hour.  In terms of how long does it last...it really doesn't have an expiration date where it just vanishes.  Your own body makes the collagen and thickens the skin giving it a more youthful look.  It's like you get another chance to take care of your face in the fight against gravity.  It does a lot more then just give volume.  My patients love the SI and their results.  I love performing the procedure because the results are so great.
