Question

I had a silhouette soft cone lifting 3 days ago . There are zones which like ; move at the inside and hurt a lot afterwords. It is like a sudden real pain that than stays for 1hour what is that ? And where one thread has it’s exit it hurts. And what can I do against the blue bruises Thank you for your answer

Silhouette Instalift is best for lifting the lower face and adding volume to the face.  The cones are set within the deeper structures after 7-10 days.. Hence, patients need to take care with exercise, dental work and facial for a few weeks.. The threads and cone dissolve over 6 months.. During this time they stimulate your collagen to improve volume and contour.

It is not uncommon to feel the cones in the tissue after the threads are inserted. I find this can last up to three weeks, and that is normal, so don't worry that it will last forever. One day you will wake up and you won't feel a thing anymore. It helps to rest the face as much as possible (softer food, for example, so you're not chewing much) for 1-2 weeks. At our office we use a laser to help clear up the bruises, so you can check with your provider to see if they do that as well. If not, I recommend warm packs and gentle massage to help your system break down the hemoglobin in the bruise so your body can remove it. Bruises can last for 2-3 weeks depending on how deep they are, but they will also resolve. The threads do a great job stimulating collagen, so you should continue to see improvement in your skin for the next 6 months. I hope you are thrilled with your results! -Dr. Jenny

Thank you for sharing your picture. Since you are only 3 days post op, your likely to experience swelling, tenderness, and bruising. If threads move the doctor or specialist that performed the procedure should be able to add another thread if necessary. If your still  experiencing discomfort 2-3 weeks after you should follow up with the office. Good luck on your recovery.
