Be sure to ask your surgeon. In general, any incision leads to scarring. Many scars in the scalp lead to permanent areas of hair loss. Some degree of improvement can occur over 6-9 months but it is usually not complete hair regrowth and some degree of persistent loss is present. The best option for this is hair transplantation. There is no oil, or topical treatment that can promote growth in a well healed scar.
