Botox is used to treat areas other than the face, but it will not have any effect on reducing fat. So, it will not help with the extra fat that you are trying to reduce underneath your buttocks.
Thank you for your question. Botox will not treat excess fatty deposits, fill in wrinkles or provide facial volume. It is best to see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who can discuss options for those areas of concern. Hope this helps.Sincerely,Dr. Benjamin J. Cousins MD Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Botox is used on muscles in areas other than the face, such as the neck. It is also used to treat excess sweating such as under the arms. Unfortunately, it doesn't reduce fat, so it won't be of help for your buttocks region.
Botox can be injected into any muscle technically.... would not recommmend anywhere in the buttock region as could really affect the way you walk, cause hip/back issues. Also due to the size of the muscles there it would take a lot of Botox (think thousands not hundreds of dollars). Also would recommend cool sculpting as it is fda cleared for that area - also known as “banana roll” to some people.
Thank you for your question.Botox would not help in the buttock area to reduce fat. Botox works by preventing muscle contraction and helps smooth wrinkles in mostly the head and neck regions. Kybella is an injection that can reduce fat but is indicated for under chin fullness. There are off label uses for the product but treating any significant area with Kybella would not be cost effective. Liposuction or any of the non invasive body contouring devices such as Vanquish or Coolsculpting might be an option. Seek a board certified plastic surgeon for an in person exam to discuss your goals.Best Dr. L
There are lots of people that get Botox, Dysport and Xeomin off the face. The reasons they do so include sweating too much, wanting to shape their calves, treating headaches. There are so many reasons that these are used off the face that it fills a New England Journal of Medicine article. However, in general, for most cosmetic indications, they remain useful primarily on the face because it is used to decrease wrinkles based on muscle activity. It does not fill, it does not melt fat so the places that we usually want to change muscle tone are the face (also the neck ).
Hi domiqua, Botox works on muscles and not on fat.Botox works by preventing muscle contraction and hence immobilizes it. It is not to be confused with Kybella, a substance that dissolves fat in the submental and bra fat areas. You sound more like a candidate for CoolSculpting - which is a NON-SURGICAL body contouring procedure. Please ask your doctor if it would work for you.All the best,Justin Harper, M.D.
In general there should not be any contraindications with corticosteroids, decongestants, antihistamines and Botox. Nasal decongestants such as SUDAFED may even be beneficial to the individuals that normally bruise easily. Be sure to consult your expert dermatologist or board-certified...
You have a condition called eyelid ptosis. Botox may help if injected properly into the glabella but it may be quite difficult to do to get your eyelids exactly symmetrical. I would recommend you see a plastic surgeon that also performs Botox so you can hear the pros and cons of each...
It's difficult to tell from your picture. I recommend following up with your injector. Botox results resolve in 3-4 months. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
