Revision Rhinoplasty for Tip and nasal refinement? (photos)

Question

had a rhinoplasty done 13 months ago and the outcome is that a have a lot of tip scar tissue and nasal exposure and maybe a slightly hanging columella. My doctor is recommending I refine the tip and everything else will balance out, but I feel that my nostrils have been pulled back and up so much they need to be addressed! with the size of my nostrils, I fear too much tip reduction will make them even more disproportionately large. What is the correct approach: alarplasty? Tip refine?

I think your nasal bridge may be a bit too low to be harmonious with your tip. I suspect revision surgery may require dorsal onlay grafting along with tip-plasty. If you would consider a non-surgical option, depending on examination, microdroplet Silikon-1000 may be considered for subtle bridge raising and nostril lowering. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph

Hello there,According to the visuals you have sopplied it looks like mostly tip refinement with litlle middle touchs is needed. But sometimes as you mentioned scar tisseus may mask or mimic the undelying problems. The final reasons can be found only during the surgery. Thus decision within the surgery is the best, recommend to be prepared to all scenorios. The bony part of your nose looks fine according to the visuals. Hope that helps.
