SkinPen microneedling is a great option to address fine lines, wrinkles, and improve the appearance of acne scars. The treatment can be combined with plasma to give a more refreshed, youthful look to the eyes. Typically multiple treatments are recommended for optimal results. These treatments should augment a medical grade skin care program like Transform MD, and sunscreen should still be used daily.

Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery.

Microneedling or CoolPeel CO2 Laser will both address the acne scarring and pore size / fine lines, depending on how much down time you're comfortable with. PRP injections under the eyes will address the under-eye bags, skin tightening, and discoloration. However, you might be a candidate for a lower blepharoplasty procedure. The discoloration can be addressed and maintained with medical-grade home perscriptives.

I have been performing manual microneedling (no need for the added expense & risks of RF microneedling for over twenty-five years with very gratifying results. Its use is best reserved for treating very superficial, surface skin issues, such as dilated pores, texture problems, and skin discolorations. It is not particularly effective for improving any, but the most superficial scars--i.e. those neither really deep nor too elevated. It would not be good for treating hollows under the eyes.
Since the upper cheeks serve as a major physical support for the under eyes, any volume deficit there typically give rise to unwanted laxity, bags and hollows. Thus a nonsurgical HA filler cheek augmentation, using a robust HA volumizing filler (properly injected), can help not only to create a more desirable Ogee Curve to the cheeks, but secondarily to diminish the under-eye hollows and smooth the transition between the upper cheeks and the under-eyes.
You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist who can help you with aforementioned, as well as prescribe an appropriate, at-home, Rx topical regimen for improving and maintaining appearance. Best of luck.

It’s completely understandable to feel overwhelmed with all the available treatments, but microneedling is one of my favorite regenerative treatments for pores, fine lines, acne scars, and overall skin texture—especially for aesthetic newbies :)There is no better way than stimulating your body’s natural collagen production to rejuvenate and repair the skin over time.
For pores, fine lines, and acne scarring, microneedling:- Encourages new collagen and elastin formation- Refines skin texture and minimizes pore size- Softens fine lines and wrinkles- Improves post-acne marks and scars
When it comes to under-eye concerns, microneedling alone can provide some benefit, but for best results, I often combine it with PRF (platelet-rich fibrin). These use your body’s own regenerative factors to naturally plump, brighten, and improve skin quality in the delicate under-eye area.
If you’re looking for an even more powerful option, I frequently recommend RF microneedling (like Sylfirm X) for my patients. The addition of radiofrequency energy helps tighten the skin, improve deep scars, and enhance collagen production at a deeper level.
Since you’re just starting your skin journey, I’d suggest a series of 3 microneedling sessions spaced about 4-6 weeks apart to see noticeable results. If your under-eye area is a major concern, we can always tailor the treatment to your needs by adding regenerative boosters like PRF.

Hi! This is a great question and inquiry. First and foremost, a good, comprehensive skincare routine would be implemented for your concerns and for maintenance/improvement of your skin. Adjunctives to your skincare routine would then best be RF microneedling with PRP injections to address the undereye area. I think a series of 4 treatments would help to achieve your goals as well as produce new collagen for pro-aging purposes. Again, as stated before, a skincare routine with targeted ingredients would help to support your results and keep them longer lasting!
