I'm getting a tummy tuck May 8th, 2017 but I just stopped smoking marijuana just 2 weeks ago, i am going to have complications with my surgery? when can i start back after the surgery?

Answer: Smoking and tummy tuck I instruct my patients not to smoke for at least 4 to 6 weeks before surgery and at least 4 -6 weeks after surgery. Smoking creates unnecessary complications in terms of wound healing. Because this is elective surgery there's no reason to perform these types of procedures on active smokers.
