How safe and effective is a Viora Radio Frequency Skin Tightening face lift?

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

Radiofrequency skin tightening technology is safe when performed by trained professionals. Much like any kind of medical treatment, there are contraindications that may make it unsafe for specific individuals. A couple examples of contraindications are metal implants or pacemakers and pregnancy. It is best to consult with a professional and discuss if you might have any contraindications, if not, then the treatment is completely safe! In fact, it is very comfortable and feels like a warm massage on the skin. The treatment is very safe for all areas of the face, including the forehead and area around eyes.
The effects of a radiofrequency skin tightening treatment are usually limited to tightening and smoothing of the skin. I would not expect to see a decrease in pore size from the Viora treatment. The procedure will make your face look slimmer by tightening the skin. 
In my experience, it will take anywhere from 6-10 treatments (each performed 1 week apart) to achieve maximum results with maintenance treatments every 6 months following. It is best to consult a specialist to discuss how many treatments may be necessary to achieve the results you are looking for.
