I'm getting 650cc high profile smooth round under muscle implants. My measurements and pictures are below but my base width is 9.5 and IM distance is 4.5. My implants would be McGhan Style 68HP. 650-700. 25-68650HP Diameter-14.0 Projection-6.1 I don't mind having side rippling but will I have rippling in bathing suits? I know its hard to predict but I just wanted to see if any other doctors could give me a definite answer. Thank you so much!
Answer: Discrepancy The higher the discrepancy between base diameter and implant diameter and the larger the implant, the higher the risk of wrinkling and palp ability.

Answer: Rippling You have great insight wich wonderful to see. In general rippling is worse with saline implants than gels. However you have good starting breast volume. This is another factor: the larger the starting breast volume the less rippling. I bet you will do just fine. I wish you well

Answer: Excellent outcome Based on these photographs it is very unlikely that your base width is 9.5 cm. If the operation is performed correctly, you should have an excellent outcome.

Answer: Rippling Rippling occurs more often in patients with very thin soft tissue envelopes covering implants. Just from the photos posted, it does not look likely.

Answer: Dr Kayser Thank you for your question. You ask the age old question of how will your end result appear. Although this is not completely predictable, there are concerns with the long-term outcome with the choice of implants that you have made. First there is a big difference between how your breasts will look at 6 weeks and 6 years. any implant will initially appear fuller and less irregular during the initial phase of healing. The question is is what will happen in the long term phase. Placing an implant will necessarily, expand your breasts. When the skin envelope of your breast is stretched it will do nothing but stretch out. This is a fact. As time progresses and your soft tissues expand, the visibility and palpability of the implant become more evident. This happens to all patients to some degree. This is a fact. The other concern is the size of the implant that you have chosen is quite large and therefore, will necessarily expand your breasts beyond what a smaller implant will accomplish. As indicated above, this will necessarily continue thinning your tissue over time which will likely lead to visible and palpable irregularities. As indicated below, saline implants are more likely to ripple than silicone gel devices. In any case, should this result, supplementing your breasts envelope with fat could help reduce these risks. I hope this helps and have a wonderful day. Dr Kayser - St Clair Shores
