It's hard to say without knowing how far out you are from surgery and what you looked like before surgery if this is the end of the recovery for you. It's best to speak with your surgeon about your question.
Thank you for your question. It seems like you are recovering normally. Discuss your concerns further with your surgeon.
Thank you for your question. The healing process goes in stages. You will be the most swollen the day after surgery or 2 days after surgery. After that, the swelling will begin to subside. In my opinion all of the swelling should subside by 3 months and at that point at least one of the implants will have settled but they never settle at the same time. Usually, they settle around 1 to 2 months apart. Good Luck!
Thank you for your question.Generally at 6 weeks you are 50% healed andthen the healing slows down. Thereforeyou have lots of softening and settling to do yet and it is normal that theystill feel very firm. I often talk aboutthe “toothbrush test” to my patients. Right now when you brush your teeth your breasts feel like rocks –nothing moves! Another few weeks whenyou brush your teeth, you’ll start to feel a jiggle, and a few weeks after that, more jiggling; But in all reality itwill be at least 6 months until you have that first day that you “forget” you had implants and one year until your final result.I hope this helps and good luck!Dr.K.
At 6 weeks, I would expect more softness.I have my patients start implant massage early, but this is my routine. The body heals with scar formation for 6 weeks after surgery. Now your body will be maturing scar and softening over the next 6 weeks.
It sounds as though your symptoms are suggestive of a peripheral nerve compression or injury however it is difficult to accurately asses the level of injury from your description alone. A careful and thorough history and examination, along with some additional information regarding augmentation...
Thank you for your question. I think this is an important topic. I am of the opinion that any motion of the implant is undesirable if the pocket dissection is fits the implant and vice versa. The pocket will not reach its full strength until 6-8 weeks after surgery....
It is normal to have some muscle movement with sub muscular augmentation especially if you have larger more developed muscles.
