Laser hair removal at a plastic surgeon's office vs a spa service?

I recently started laser hair removal from my chest at a plastic surgeon's office where each treatment costs approx. $375. Today I saw an ad for a spa service with aestheticians and their cost is $175 per session with a special price of $185 for six treatments. Big cost difference. The spa service uses a Fatona laser system. Not sure about the plastic surgeon's office. Is there a difference in hair removal services? It seems to me that laser hair removal is laser hair removal where ever you go.

There are many systems and there is a variation on effectiveness but in New York State spas legally can perform laser hair removal and yield good results.

There is a difference between laser hair removal performed by a physician and laser hair removal performed by a technician or spa personnel. Usually the performance, safety , and effectiveness of a physician performed procedure is superior to the other. Therefore you pay more for this effectiveness, That is the value of the procedure with a physician.I would be worried about that price of $185 for a series of treatments. $185 for 6 treatments? Beware of such a low price.  You cannot possibly have the same area treated with the same result as you would with 1 treatment for $375.
