No, this should not impact your tattoo removal. Tattoos should be removed with q switched or pico lasers. Using a PFD patch in tandem with a laser will get you more removal quickly as compared to tattoo removal without it. It will take a series of treatments, but it's difficult to determine how many treatments you'll need. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a laser tattoo removal expert. Best, Dr. Emer
In our practice we have had success in removing tattoos in clients that have struggled with immune issues. It would always be recommended to ask the Doctor who is treating you for the condition what their medical opinion is, and it could depend on the type of autoimmune disease. Tattoo removal works by breaking up the ink into smaller particles that can be more easily removed by your lymphatic system. We use Enlighten by Cutera, which can treat all colors of ink. With this laser we have been able to remove tattoos in as few as 2-3 treatments. Your lymphatic system will be working for a while (up to a few months) to remove debris from just one treatment.
It really depends on the kind of autoimmune disease. I have seen an allergic reaction especially after red ink where a treatment is performed and the person can get red persistent swelling. It is generally assumed that this is a reaction to the red ink breaking down. Best Wishes

You have to be careful with laser treatments and ink allergy. In many cases I excise the portion or color that cause the allergy and then treat the rest with laser. Ink allergy is most common with red ink. Best of luck, Dr. M
