I agree, something can always be done. It looks like the only way to achieve an ideal result is to have brace treatment, in combination with jaw surgery. If you would be happy with an improvement, then you might get this with just braces - but this would not close the bite completely. I would see a few orthodontists, as some will only give you an all or nothing treatment plan. I hope this helps!
With such a large open bite, there are definitely things that can be done to give you some improvement. You would need to contact a very good orthodontist. He will go over with you what your options are which will most likely include some jaw surgery and he will get an oral surgeon involved to give you the best outcome. Don't let the word surgery frighten you away. Get a consultation with the orthodontist. Good luck.
Yes of course you have options to create an even bite for you and of course a natural looking smile. You need to take a complete Xray set and send them to your dentist so they can design for you a new smile and make a plan. You can improve your smile for sure , please visit an orthodontist. Hope this helps.
My best suggestion for you is to seek the advice of a progressive orthodontist who has many tools in the tool box to straighten and align teeth. It may not be a big job to align and even your gums and give you a broader smile to show your teeth more. It may even help you if you...
In looking at your photo and factoring in that you are 26 I would highly recommend Invisalign orthodontics as a first choice. This would allow proper tooth alignment that would be permanent. It would also avoid significant healthy tooth enamel reduction that would be required for...
If your tooth is truly broken all the way down to the gum line, it is very difficult to restore that tooth with any long lasting results. That could be a lot of money that you lose very quickly. Two other options would be to remove the tooth and have an implant placed with a porcelain crown to...
It is possible that it is merely perception, but veneers should not move away from the tooth structure they are bonded to, at all. Teeth have ligiments that connect them to the bone, the PDL, so there can be slight movement. Pressure from your mouthpiece might soften the bone around...
Your dentist should be able to diagnose and help you with the problem. It could be one of the teeth previously treated. It also sounds very possibly to be a TMJ issue that was aggravated by you having to keep your mouth open during your last fillings. If so, you will need to find a dentist with...
You do have some gum recession which is minimal if you are in your 50's or 60's. If you are a in your 20's, it is more gum recession than there should be, so catch this in time and start using a very soft brush and brush very gently in those areas where there is gum recession. It is not how hard...
