I am 37 years old and am considering getting fillers around my mouth and nose to get rid of the aging lines & hopefully prevent sagging. I had my lips done and was not pleased at the large size, now I have a couple extra divots on my upper lip where the filler once was. I am concerned about this happening and making the aging around my mouth/nose lines worse long term. Should I just wait? Even though I don’t like the frown lines when I purse my lips..
Answer: Dermal filler long term effects Hi there! Thank you for your question. Dermal fillers are a great non-surgical way of adding lift and volume to the mid-face to refresh and brighten the complexion with natural looking results. Fillers are effective for younger and more mature patients alike so there is no reason you shouldn’t have a filler treatment at 37 if it’s something you want to do. Hyaluronic acid based fillers are good for the skin (you may have heard of it in skin creams) so improves skin structure, texture and tone alongside hydrating the tissues. The most important thing is to do your research prior to going ahead with any procedure and finding a highly experienced practitioner as when in the right hands, filler treatments can be very natural looking and work to enhance your natural features, treat and prevent signs of aging, rather than making drastic changes. I hope this helps! Best Wishes, Dr. Rupert

Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Is 37 too young for fillers? No, 37 is not too young for fillers. I'm sorry that you didn't have a good experience with your lip fillers. I encourage you to visit with an experienced injector for treatment. Look for someone whose work you can review. Be sure to discuss what your goals are for treatment including what you are looking for and what you don't want.

Answer: Fillers around mouth at age 37 I'd say 37 is not too young for fillers at all. The immediate results should be nice and last 9-12 months, and there will likely be long-term improvement that you will also notice. Start low & slow, and add more as needed. See your local dermatologist for optimal, natural results & safety.
