Because the effects of MonaLisa Touch are temporary and gradually fade over time, most women will require a "touch-up" treatment around once a year to maintain ideal results. Your doctor will recommend the best timetable for you depending on your unique needs.
Hi there! Unfortunately, there is no one and done. It is recommended to do once a year if you still experience any dryness. Usually a series of 3 is performed every 40-60 days. Then an addition maintenance session once a year is recommended. Please consult your provider as sometimes prefers to do an examination before needing to do any further treatments.
CO2 lasers, YAG laser, or radiofrequency treatments are typically done every three to four weeks for the initial treatment series. Most patients may benefit from touch-up sessions to maintain or enhance the effects over time. The timing may vary based on the patient's age, complaints, and reasons for the treatment. Typically, for healthy premenopausal women, we recommend a touch-up once a year. However, older patients, those with low lubrication, breast cancer survivors seeking increased intimacy, may opt for touch-ups earlier, around every eight to ten months. Hope this helps!
Hello there,Yes, we recommend annual 'touch up' treatments to help maintain your results.Hope that helps!Sincerely,Jennifer AdamsMD FRCSC
CO2 Laser vaginal resurfacing with FemiLift or MLT stimulates the body to lay down new collagen and increase vascularity, thus the great results for vaginal dryness due to atrophy and increased sensation for intercourse. A single treatment per year is recommended to maintain results. In the older patient with more severe atrophy from lack of estrogen or decreased sexual activity then they may benefit from 1-2 treatments per year to maintain results.Oscar A. Noninvasive vaginal laser treatments like MonaLisa and FemiLift work by stimulating collagen. Since collagen isn't permanent, the results aren't permanent. For this reason, booster sessions are needed to maintain the effects.
Yes, typically, I recommend an annual touch-up treatment of MonaLisa Touch to maintain the benefits. The initial series of three treatments spaced six weeks apart helps to rejuvenate the vaginal tissue, improving issues like vaginal dryness, discomfort, and mild urinary incontinence. However, because the natural aging process continues, an annual maintenance session helps sustain the results over time. Each patient's needs may vary, so I always suggest discussing your specific situation during a consultation to create a personalized treatment plan. — Dr. Jennifer BermanYes, typically, I recommend an annual touch-up treatment of MonaLisa Touch, but not the actual Mona Lisa, I use Morpheus8 to maintain the benefits. Yes you need to have one treatment every 12-18 months, I usually tell my patient to come back when they feel that the symptoms are coming back but not wait too long so we only need to do one treatment instead of a series of them.
A booster or followup treatment is usually required approximately 12-18 months after the course of MonaLisa Touch laser treatment. This is because the low hormone state and the natural aging process continues acting on the vaginal tissues. Usually only booster is required if patients return when they start to notice the return of symptoms and don't allow the full effect of the treatment to diminish.
After you have completed your series of three treatments it is recommended to have an annual treatment to re-stimulate the tissues to produce more collagen and new blood flow. Otherwise, you will revert back to your pretreatment status and would have to start over again. Some women can go longer than the year and some may need it sooner depending on their individual circumstances. It is best to follow up with your treating physician to determine the best timing for your "tune up". Hope this helps.Dr. Benson
