Congratulations on your surgery. It's common for the nipple to not be a perfect circle early after surgery. I would give yourself more time to heal and for your skin and tissues to soften and relax. If you have concerns, make sure to reach out to your plastic surgeon for specific answers.
Depending upon how much tissue was removed during surgery, it is not uncommon for your nipples to be an odd shape early on and then improve with time. You are very early out of surgery and so best to be patient but also express your concern with your Plastic Surgeon.Overall, your result looks very nice! I hope that helps and wish you the very best.Warmest regards,-Gregory A Buford MD FACSBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author
HI, misskay, It is too early to make a final comment on how your nipple will look eventually due to the swelling that you have now. It might be best for you to contact your PS to let him/her know of your concerns.Best,Dr. Christine Rodgers
Thanks for your inquiry, it is early in your healing and stitches are pulling in different directions. Give it at least 3 months before making an impression, good luck.
Dear misskaymae88,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation and lift surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 10 days post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
It is not uncommon for the intersection of the 6:00 position of the areola and the vertical scar of most breast lifts to create a bit of a V- shape (or a pingpong paddle shape). This is due to vectors of tension battling between the areolar border and the tightening across the middle of the breast. If it does not round out in time, a minor revision under local anesthesia is usually all that is required to improve the roundness of the shape.
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Unfortunately, without pictures is very difficult to give you a proper answer. You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. If you have any concerns, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Good luck :)
