Did my surgeon perform a transconjunctival or transcutanous procedure? I'm 43 and had a skin pinch bleph with canthoplasty.

A skin pinch and canthoplasty can be done with either a transconjunctival or transcutaneous surgery.  Many surgeons will use a transconj approach to work on the fat - either excision or transposition.  The pinch can then be done and a canthoplasty as well if there is significant eyelid laxity.

I will often use a transconj approach to avoid muscle violation and then often perform a canthopexy and skin pinch, but an open approach through a transcuatenous incision is fine too.

The terms that you are referring to concerns the approach that was used to remove the fat.   Either approach could have been used.  Best to discuss with doctor.

There are many variations of blepharoplasty technique and it is very important that your surgeon choose the right procedure or combination of procedures to best fit your individual needs.It sounds like your surgeon did.In the context of your inquiry, the terms "transconjunctival" and "transcutaneous" presumably refer to the approach for fat removal: either could have been used with the other procedures you mentioned (skin pinch with canthoplasty).  To find out, you'll need to ask your surgeon.
