Will AviClear deliver different results on my darker skin? Should I be concerned about possible scarring?

I am interested in AviClear for chin acne. Just curious if I would get noticeable results as a person with dark skin or if I should consider other options? Will this cause scarring?

No, AviClear is made to provide reliable, efficient results on all skin tones, especially darker skin. AviClear is safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types (I–VI) since it targets oil-producing sebaceous glands with a specialized 1726 nm wavelength, unlike many conventional lasers that target melanin (pigment).
You should not be concerned about the laser producing scars. AviClear does not harm the skin's surface and is non-ablative.

AviClear is an universal skin type laser. This means it is safe on all skin type, from lighter skin tones to darker skin tones. AviClear does not cause scars due to different skin tones, however, if you already have acne scarring, your treatment provider will need to find a treatment that work for your skin type to treat the existing acne scars.

AviClear is "color blind" to skin tone, so it is safe on all skin types- Fitzpatrick's I- VI. The wavelength of this laser targets the sebaceous glands (oil glands) of the skin to shrink, downregulate and destroy them. It does not leave scaring of the skin, and in some preliminary studies we are seeing that previous acne scaring is improving with treatment! AviClear is safe on any part of the body were you have acne. AviClear is the BEST and safest option currently to treat all acne types without side effects from medications.

During treatment, we can adjust patients skin type manually for each patient. This laser can treat all 6 different types of skin color. The laser itself doesn't cause scars. Scarring only happens due to non-healing lesions cause by the acne. For acne scars, we recommend laser resurfacing treatments in between Aviclear sessions. Such as Laser Xeo Genesis from Cutera.
