What is this bump on my breast lift scar? (Photos)

Thank you for your question.  Obviously, an in-person exam is best, but from what I can see on the photos, you appear to have a protruding suture that is working its way through the skin.   The sutures used are absorbable, but sometimes the come through the skin before they are completely gone.   Sometimes they will cause an inflammatory reaction and some drainage, with/without a small infection.  Best to check with your surgeon for instructions.  Good luck.  

I would agree that this is probably just an absorbable suture working its way out.  But with all due respect, you should really be posing this question to the surgeon who did your surgery.  Ask him/her about this in an in-person consultation.  That way you can make sure that everything is healing as it should be.I hope that helps and wish you the very best!-Gregory A Buford MD FACSBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author

The bump is most likely suture.  The sutures that  dissolve are underneath the skin and can take many weeks/months to totally dissolve.  Have your surgeon take a look and be sure to discuss all your concerns.  Best wishes
