Will air travel impact my BBL?

Question

If I were to travel to a different part of the US or even overseas for a BBL, how will sitting on a plane for an extended amount of time impact my new derriere? I would love to have this procedure done in Denver; however based on before and after pictures, it looks like I'd be more likely to receive my desired results in Miami, Beverley Hills, or the Dominican Republic.

Hello dear!!
Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
I recommend my patients to wait at least 10 days before flying back home, and you should not sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. If you have any concerns, I suggest you follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

I generally advise no flying for 7-10 days after your BBL procedure.   First, I recommend no prolonged sitting for about 7 days.  Also, flying too soon may increase your risk of a postoperative blood clot (also known as a deep vein thrombus).  please talk to your plastic surgeon about his/her specific recommendations.best wishes,Dr. BasuHouston, TX
