Can I undergo PicoSure while taking Ciproxina? How long should I wait after taking it?

I have a ear infection and are taking Ciproxina (2 mg/ml / 10 mg/ml Ciprofloxacin/hydrocortison). Can I get Picosure laser treatment? If not, how long after using the medicine do I have to wait? The tattoo is on my arm.

I have never had a patient in my NYC practice that hasn't had considerable lightening of black tattoos after three treatments with the PicoSure laser. We continue treating the tattoo for significant reduction in tattoo pigmentation.

I recommend following up with your doctor for after care. This sometimes takes 3-6 months to improve. Venus legacy, prp and LED treatments can help. The soreness should resolve in a few weeks. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

I would be cautious, the pico can also cause depigmentation. I suggest a formal evaluation.  post inflammatory hyperpigmentation from lasers is best treated with low level peels or microsecond lasers (like genesis) and skin lightening creams.  Best, Dr. Emer.
