It sounds like Picosure will be a good choice for removal of my black tattoo. It's a simple design, with no color and no fill. How many treatments would removal with Picosure typically take on such a tattoo? Are results instant beginning after the first treatment, or do they show up gradually in time? If so, how long? Thank you in advance! ~ Cera

I recommend following up with your doctor for after care. This sometimes takes 3-6 months to improve. Venus legacy, prp and LED treatments can help. The soreness should resolve in a few weeks. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
I would be cautious, the pico can also cause depigmentation. I suggest a formal evaluation. post inflammatory hyperpigmentation from lasers is best treated with low level peels or microsecond lasers (like genesis) and skin lightening creams. Best, Dr. Emer.
I have not seen this happen with my Focus PicoSure. My best advice would be to get right back in to see your doctor about this. Sometimes skin needs to be pre-treated and post-treated with skin lighteners (for example hydroquinone but there are others) prior to any laser....
