The PicoSure is the best laser available for tattoo removal. However, every case is unique. It's going to depend on the depth of the ink and the type of ink used. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon or cosmetic dermatologist to discuss. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on Instagram
In more than twenty years of practice I have not seen any advance in laser tattoo removal as considerable as the PicoSure laser. The pico fraction of a nanosecond pulse duration helps blow apart the tattoo pigment into microgranules that the immune system carries away. On average I see in my NYC practice, more pigment reduction in a few treatments than I used to see with eight or more Q switched nano second laser treatments.
Thank you for your question and photograph. Picosurelaser is a good option to have this tattoo removed as it is safe and effectiveand there is a low risk of scarring regardless of the tattoo’s size. Thistreatment works best on dark inks like black and dark blue which gives you aneffective permanent result. I recommend you see an expert in order to determinethe best treatment plan for you. All the best!
Yes picosure laser should be able to remove it in about 4 sessions although results vary depending on depth of ink and the ink selected by tattoo artist. There is no uniform black ink.
I have never had a patient in my NYC practice that hasn't had considerable lightening of black tattoos after three treatments with the PicoSure laser. We continue treating the tattoo for significant reduction in tattoo pigmentation.
Although every tattoo is unique, you can expect it to take on average 4-6 sessions. Definitely go with the PicoSure. It is hands down the best laser out there for tattoo removal. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on Instagram
I recommend following up with your doctor for after care. This sometimes takes 3-6 months to improve. Venus legacy, prp and LED treatments can help. The soreness should resolve in a few weeks. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
